A field blend of Muscat and grapes of the Pinot family (Gris, Blanc, Noir, Beurot) from the Huebuhl vineyard in Bergheim. A humid terroir with soils that are primarily marl-limestone that gently slopes down, facing south. This terroir also encourages the development of noble rot and (depending on vintage) may have affected grapes in the blend. Slow whole cluster pressing, natural yeast fermentation, matured in old foudre for 12 months. Là oú pousse la haie – “where the hedge grows” references the small hollow where the vineyard is located.

Tasting Note: Notes to be expected are ripe red and orchard fruit with hints of pepper, toast, stone mineral. A sweet wine with great richness, purity, fat and with a slightly syrupy texture, fresh acidity, long length on the mineral finish. Very youthful and will develop beautifully with further aging.
