Spätburgunder Kabinett Trocken

Spätburgunder (or Pinot Noir), sourced from vineyard holding within Kallstadt, where vines grow on soils that are generally a gravelly sandstone and loess mix above a limestone bedrock. Natural ferment in steel tanks and pressed after 4-6 weeks, aged in a mix of traditional old oval-shaped barrels, 600-2400L and old barriques of 1.5-2 years.

Tasting Note: Aromas of wild raspberry, cherry, redcurrant, and plum hints of forest floor, mushroom, licorice, and clove on the nose. Medium-bodied and juicy on the palate, a red berry fruit core with earthy notes, fresh acidity, fine tannin, and hints of spice on a pleasant finish.
