A rare sweet offering! Riesling sourced from vineyard holdings (Steinacker and Annaberg) within Kallstadt, where vines grow on soils that are generally a gravelly sandstone and loess mix above a limestone bedrock. Natural fermentation in large old oak barrels 600 – 1200L in size with minimum 8 months on lees. 

An extremely ripe vintage (2015) and with often botrytis-influenced fruit, there was a much higher % of residually sweet wines produced, and it started from the Auslese level (no Kabinett or Spätlese).

Tasting Note: Aromas of dried apricot, peach, candied orange, and ripe pineapple with hints of honey, caramel, and spice. Lush and rich with a creamy texture on the palate, a juicy ripe fruit core with a hint of saline, beautifully balanced acidity, and a very long length on the finish.
