Burg

A field blend of all the classic Alsatian grapes grown in the sheltered, south-facing Burg 1er Cru vineyard, in Bergheim. A south-facing, cool, late-ripening area with multi-coloured marl soils with interbedded limestone. Aged for 12 months on lees in large old foudres 

Le vignoble féodal – the fortified castle.

Tasting Note: Aromas of ripe pear, baked apple, apricot, lemon zest with chalk mineral, flower, honey on the nose. Rich and powerful with great depth on the palate, a ripe / baked fruit core balanced with fresh acidity, rounded texture, and a long finish with a soft citrus bitterness. Off-dry - semi-dry.
