Sancerre Blanc Monoparcelle 469

Fruit from a single parcel (0.35ha) within Les Petits Sentiers, where shallow Kimmeridgian soil rests on a limestone bedrock. Southeast facing with an elevation of 230m this tends to be a generally warmer microclimate compared to the other parcels. Vines are massale selection and average 54 years in age. Spontaneous ferment and aged on lees in foudres for 18 months. One of the finest expressions of Sancerre terroir! Monoparcelle 469 refers to the cadastral plot number and was purchased from a retiring vigneron who used to sell to the local cooperative.

Tasting Note: Aromas of pear, white peach, lime, lemon zest, tropical fruit with hints of crushed stone, ginger, fresh herb on the nose. Rich and expansive on the palate with a crisp citrus and mineral core, bright acidity, rounded texture, leesy, great concentration and depth, a long mineral finish.
