Tasting Note: Yamadabo, which is the other rice variety that has parentage to Yamadanishiki, is milled down to 40%.

Aromas of pear, fresh apple, and melon with hints of yogurt, and anise on the nose. Compared to the Tankan Wataribune, the Yamadabo is leaner with great focus and sharpness, very balanced and its fruitiness with soft umami notes lingers on a long finish.
