Loibner Riesling Ried Schutt Smaragd

Riesling from the Schütt vineyard, a south-facing site with soils rich in gneiss and vines average 25 years, with some over 50 years. Vinified mostly in stainless steel tanks with some use of old casks, aging on lees for 9 months.

Tasting Note: Aromas of green apple, lime, peach, melon, with hints of chamomile, thyme, sea air, wet stone on the nose. Still youthful and tightly wound, but great richness and concentration of fruit on the palate, fresh acidity, amazing depth, very balanced, a long mineral finish.
