Vosne-Romanée

2016 - Devastating frost in April resulted in limited production for many, challenges combating mildew for some, but a warm dry summer helped to achieve good ripeness overall.

Fruit from parcels Champs Goudins (lower slope in the heart of Vosne) and La Croix Blanche (towards Nuits St Georges) totalling 0.7ha. Vine age ranges from 40-80 years. Partially destemmed fruit, aged in 228L tonneaux (20% new) for 18 months.

Tasting Note: 2017 - Aromas of plum, wild raspberry, cherry, and blackberry with hints of violets, crushed rock, and mushroom on the nose. Medium-bodied with good richness, a juicy red/dark berry core, good acidity, supple tannin, a slightly creamy texture, good length on a spicy finish
