Cotillon Rouge VdF Côt

Malbec, locally known as Côt, is grown by partner grower Julien Moreau of Domaine de Cambalu in Francueil (Touraine). Vines grow on a 0.5ha organic vineyard with sandy, clay, and limestone soils. Hand harvested, the grapes were destemmed and fermentation was with indigenous yeasts. Maturation in 2-year barriques for 8-10 months, very minimal sulphur at bottling.

Tasting Note: Aromas of blackberry, cherry, and raspberry with hints of pepper, game, and stone mineral on the nose. Medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a red/blackberry fruit core, fresh acidity, supple texture, fine tannin, and good length on the finish.
