Anjou Villages

Very old vine fruit (85+ years) grown on sandstone and shale. 70% Cabernet Franc with the remainder Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in steel vats for 12 months.

Tasting Note: 2014 - Aromas of red fruits with black pepper, spice, green herb on the nose. Full and round on the palate with good tannin structure, juicy red fruit core, fresh acidity and mineral on the finish.

2018 - Aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, raspberry with green pepper, red flower, earth on the nose. Medium-bodied on the palate with fresh red/blackberry fruit, fresh acidity, youthful tannin, rounded texture, wild, some earth and spice on the finish.
