Millésime Extra Brut 1er Cru
2006 - Fruit sourced from old vineyards with soils of clay and silt, underlain by marl, for the Pinot Noir, and very chalky soils for the Chardonnay. Vine age is a minimum of 50 years. Fermented entirely in oak barrels, with the 2nd fermentation done under cork rather than a crown cap. Minimum 10 years on lees with a dosage of 4g per litre. Only 6050 bottles are produced.
Tasting Note: 2006 - A very fine and pure nose of sweet cherry, pear, citrus with buttery brioche, cinnamon and vanilla spices. The palate is round, rich and very elegant with a savoury minerality. Finessed, fascinating, and sublime.
